Conducting Convention Business
The messengers to the 179th meeting of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina will take action on several business items. For specifics on how the business will be conducted, please click here.
Board of Directors
During the Tuesday morning and Tuesday afternoon sessions the Board of Directors report will be presented by Board President, K. Allan Blume. During this time, messengers will vote on proposed changes to the BSCNC Articles and Bylaws. Click here for the proposed amendments to the Articles and Bylaws. A listening session related to the proposed amendments is scheduled for 7:30 Tuesday morning in the Sandpiper Room.
Messengers will also vote on the proposed 2010 Cooperative Program budget. The budget discussion has been scheduled for Tuesday afternoon. Click here for budget information. A budget listening session is scheduled for Tuesday morning at 7:30 in the Tanglewood Room.
Convention Committees
On Monday evening and Wednesday morning, messengers will hear reports from the Convention Committees. To review reports that will be voted on from the Committee on Nominations and the Committee on Committees click here.
Officer Election
On Tuesday morning at 10:50 during a fixed order of business, messengers will elect a new Convention president. Following in the afternoon session at 1:50 p.m. the remaining Convention officers will be elected.
